A Knight’s Oath

A knight takes the following oath. He kneels prior to his investiture and then rises a Sir Knight. I thought it was extremely fine and worth sharing. It is so simple in wording and perhaps therein lies its beauty and inspirational worth. If only we could all strive to do the same!

Be without fear in the face of your enemies,

Be brave & upright,

Speak the truth always even if leads to your death,

Safeguard the helpless & do no wrong,

That is your oath.
