Even light does not travel in a straight line!

The scientists proclaimed

Authoritatively. It Bends!

I failed to grasp the gravity of it all.

Does time then not move in a linear fashion?

does it follow its own arcane law too?

Maybe it whirls and swirls in circles

Just as mystics and dervishes do.

In the blink of an eye...

And there the rainbow lights up the grey horizon.

Oh! what a beautiful soul filling sight

Maybe it is light and time combined?

Tracing an arc across the universe 

leaving an imprint on the mind

piercing the heart ever so softly

It goes - just as it came.

Silently, without fanfare.
